Natural Rubber Export to China Freezes

There are thousands of tons of natural rubber blocked up at the Mong Cai border gate as China requested their importers to switch to official import system.

As the result, the natural rubber import- export activities at  Luc Lam-La Phu gate were sluggish during last week with only 100-200 tons traded each day, the Center for Information, Technology & Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

The  Chinese import-export  management agencies continued  requesting and pushing their importers to switch to regular transaction system when importing natural rubber from Vietnam or any other country in the transit area, temporary import for export in the Mong Cai border gate.

The Vietnamese rubber exporters will be seriously affected as they have been familiar with freedom export methods and close relations with Chinese partners for decades and it is not easy for them to change.
